I just recently read the memoir graphic novel "My Friend Dahmer" by Derf Backderf.

The story focuses on Dahmer's high school experience as viewed as seen through the author's eyes as well as a information pieced together after the famous murder convictions. It's probably the most humanistic portrayal of the developing mind of a serial kill That I've ever seen.

It's Graphic Novel has now been adapted into a full feature length film:

The film is currently in theatres. If you do decide to see it, don't expect a bloodbath or horror movie style portrayal.

Heard there was a Dahmer film coming. Hadn't realized it was based on a graphic novel, though. Could be interesting. I remember the case well from the media reporting.

This movie focuses on the high school career of Dahmer. He was a weird guy that was a homosexual who used to drink excessively every day. He didn't start to murder until after high school.

They made a Dahmer movie back in 2002 staring Jeremy Renner but it didn't quite hit the mark. "MY Friend Dahmer" has had much better reviews. The graphic novel is very insightful.
