I watched "The King" on netflix yesterday, was ok, guess it was produced by Brad Pitt. Henry the V and the battle at AginCourt was the basic theme.

I tend to watch series more often, i dont watch movies anymore really

Sadly, it deserves its 35% Rotten Tomatoes review. Just too damn much of everything from shitty dialogue to excessive editing to over-the-top gratuitous violence. Equally sad, Ryan Reynolds has become typecast as Deadpool in everything he now does, including real life. He needs another Amityville Horror-type remake to get him out of the typecast rut. If you’ve not seen his version of A-Horror, treat yourself.

it's a Michael Bay film. did you expect it to be good?

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Of course I saw Knives Out and LOVED it. Have you met me? Lol

Safe In Your Arms - No place I'd rather be.

Take Me Now - A lucky man comes home to his needy wife.

Always Him - A tribute to true love and amazing sex.

Painful. Gut-wrenchingly, painful.

I didn't think this was a great movie, but the acting was spectacular. Adam Driver should win all the lead actor awards. He's that good in this. I still don't like him as Kylo Ren, but in BlackkKlansman and Logan Lucky, he is fantastic. I'd love to see Scarlett Johansson win with lead with this, and supporting lead for Jojo Rabbit, but I fear she'll not win either. Have been a fan ever since Lost in Translation. Laura Dern, Alan Alda, and Ray Liotta were equally spectacular. Now I know why Ray wasn't in, The Irishman. He was kicking ass in this one.

Horrible. The constant narration of the guy's thoughts... egad.

Still need to see Frozen 2 with the kids and Knives Out. Currently chipping away at an old Hitchcock, Shadow of a Doubt. Still undecided.

You hated the seven year itch?

I re watched this. Its honestly one of the most gorgeous movies ever
From the message to the amazing cat Steven's soundtrack
Highly recommend it to everyone.
Its one of those movies that makes you both happy and sad but most of all happy to be alive.

Next i re watched this

"After Hours" is very good, but "Harold and Maude" is amazing. One of my favourtest.

Last watched, "Awake." Not great cinema, but a perfectly acceptable time waster.

Looks like we're in for a nasty spell of wether.

Yup. Not even funny like Bewitched or another show of its type.

When the dust clears (enough time passes for people to watch it), it would be interesting to see how open people are to discuss Knives Out criticism. The concept was fun. But we can go down the list of major flaws this flick has from underused and in some cases, unnecessary characters, to unneeded characteristics, to how the ‘investigation’ was conducted, to a few pretty darn big plot holes. I wanted to blindly love this movie. Annoyed at the wasted opportunity to make a phenomenal movie is now more accurate. Poor mother. Anyone think of her?

Currently watching Videodrome. It’s been years. I can watch anything with Ms. Harry, my first rock ‘n roll crush.

I watched the first chase scene in this all the way through (it went on for about 20 minutes) before I turned this off. I actually found the editing and time jumps kinda thrilling, in a Michael Bay sorta way. But what I found prety disturbing was the body count. Even not counting ALL the bad guys who die, there must be 30 innocent bystanders in cars and on sidewalks that die, though of course the camera never lingers around to let you see what happens.

They also destroy a huge amount of priceless art in the scene. Maybe they are making a tonue-in-cheek statement about destroying all the old rules and creating your own. But it's a very depressing statement.

(Said of "6 Underground," which Li'l G had also panned.)

Me: "I am looking forward to this." Edward: "You'll be watching it on your own." Me: "Of course."

I love chases, "Bullit", "Vanishing Point", "Gone in 15 Seconds", but after the first chase I had to admit to my husband that even I thought this one was crap.

I love old Cronenberg but must confess to having not seen his recent stuff. Just my usual not much movie-watching time blues.
Spotlight... About the Boston Globe team Omg amazing but harrowing
Saw Frozen 2 with youngest daughter last night. It was good, though not nearly as good as Frozen, which sets a very high bar. The first Frozen was a perfect movie to me: profound, moving, funny, ground-breaking, truly surprizing.

Plus, Elsa is HOT!

We thought the second was better. I'm still shrieking 'the call', Olaf style.

And given your Japanese monster fetish, it's no wonder big-eyed anime girls is also your jam.

"Murder at 1600" for the second time followed by "Primal Fear" for the third.

I love Murder at 1600. Wesley Snipes was fabulous. "Where's your rider at?"

Still working on Videodrome, but about 90 minutes into Apocalypse Now Redux. Epic, genre-defining flick.

"Never get off the boat!!!"
Just rented Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter
I don't do movie theaters often too much money and I hate when people talk during the movie. So if I see a movie trailer I'll wait to til it comes out on DVD and get from the library or redbox
The Aeronauts.

Was on last night. One of those movies that always draws me in because it was a first date movie. Great memories, but melancholic as well. I wonder how she is?

That sexy Susanna Hoffs and her Bangles crushed their version of Paul Simon's, Hazy Shade of Winter, for this movie. Still chokes me up. And that last scene in the car. Fuck.

Excellent movie for its period time and place.

My son and I watched this yesterday. We both really enjoyed it. It lagged a big towards the end, sometimes feeling a bit rushed or awkward, but nonetheless, it met our expectations. Hopefully, the rumoured sequel will happen.

I'll admit, I love Eddie Murphy. Always have since I first saw him on SNL. This movie... my oh my... this guy. This comedian. This singer. This actor. This all-around entertainer. This movie and this guy might be sleeper picks for some awards.

I knew it was him, but I kept falling into the movie trap thinking I was watching the character, not the actor playing him. That's a good sign. His expressions are emotive, sigh, it was fucking embarrassing for me at times. I found this movie inspirational (he just doesn't fucking quit) and I wanted him to succeed because he always tried to find a yes, when the world kept saying no. Funny. Inspirational. Just damn good.

An aside, if you watched Seinfeld's Comedian's in Cars Getting Coffee, you'll better understand what a cunt Bill Cosby was to him. So, the comments that Cosby offered after Eddie's SNL skit make sense. Calling Eddie a Hollywood slave? Seriously? Sure, Billie boy opened doors and knocked down barriers, but damn, you don't get a free pass. Some things remain wrong. And punishable by law, and public opinion. I might be in the minority, but I never found Cosby funny, not even on the Cosby Show or Fat Albert, but I watched. Eddie, I could watch all day do just about anything. I hope he does more of anything now too. So many good comedians were/are great dramatic actors. Eddie is one of them, or he certainly can be recognized as one with the right future projects. Sure, he's made some mistakes too, but not like Cosby.

Watch Dolomite if you want to live.

There are no Gremlins on Netflix, so I watched "The Water Horse".
