Yet, another movie I want to see, The King. It is about England's HenryV and culminates in the famed Battle of Agincourt.

Yeah, I'm kind of liking the sound of that one, too. It isn't a direct adaptation of the relevant Shakespeare plays (Henry IV, Henry V) but covers the same ground. Joel Edgerton co-wrote the script and plays Falstaff, one of my favorite Shakespeare characters.
I was looking forward to this one for almost a year. I still haven't watched it though. I like that they made Henry more accurate. Skinny dude with a weird haircut.
Need to watch.
I watched this last night and I really enjoyed it. Timothée Chalamet is brilliant.

I have a new story out! Wish You Were Here A teasing sub may I have pushed too far, but the punishment is oh so sweet.

If you haven't already, please check out my story with leftlingula. A husband and wife rediscovered each other and It all started with one simple word...
Nightshade Part 1 & Nightshade: Part 2

I watched it yesterday.

It was very good. The first act was slow but overall it was awesome. It was kind of a mix between History, Shakespeare, and a dash of Hollywood.

Chalomet was great as Henry. And Lilly Rose Depp was perfect as Catherine of France. She actually was born in France and speaks perfect French.

They mess with the timeline a bit, but they do that all the time.

The idea of Henry being a drunken party animal was something that Shakespeare made up, but I didn't mind because it gave the character some layers. In real life he was a very devoted, warlike king, but that would obviously be less interesting than having him be a drunkard pacifist that was manipulated into invading France.

I actually think this would have been better as a mini series, so we could see more of the character development. Falstaff was actually based on a person names John Oldcastle, And he was burned to death as a heretic by Henry in 1417.

I hope that this enlightens people as to the numerous stories throughout history that can be made into great movies.

After Henry dies, the crown is passed to his infant son (who is insane) leading to the rise of Joan of Arc and the reconquest of France by the French. Henry IV will also be overthrown by Edward IV beginning the Wars of the Roses. This is one of my favorite periods of history, although it is very very complicated.

I gave this a 8/10.
I watched it a couple weeks ago.. It was pretty good.

Could have been more sex.
I'll have to add this to my list of movies to watch now.
