Have any of you watched the mini-series called "The Night Manager."

If you haven't it's on AMC. They're showing it "ON Demand," this month on AMC.

It has to be the most thrilling Spy mini-series I've ever seen.

Check out and discuss here if you've seen it. I'll post a trailer for you all.

It's written by John le Carre, who wrote all of the Smiley's People books, and like so many of his books, was done for the BBC. It was broadcast here in the UK a couple of months ago on the BBC.

It's rather good, isn't it? There are lots of people who want Tom Hiddlestone to play Bond next.
I am binge watching it right now. I have 3 more episodes to go. All I have to say is "WOW."

I can hardly imagine what is going to happen.

This show is so exciting and nail biting. I would say it may be one of the best mini-series I've ever seen.

I'll finish it up tomorrow.

My wife and I enjoyed it very much. We mostly binge watched it one weekend.
we dvr'd it, so at some point, yeah, their will be a binge smile

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

I had not, though I'd seen ads for it. Meant to, but had forgotten and not seen much TV recently anyway. Thanks for the reminder and the recommendation, Lady M! I'll definitely check it out.
I just finished the series......

WOW....

Is about all I can say. This was a very slick and edgy series.

If you have not seen......I would put it on your list. You won't be disappointed.

Read the novel it's based on years ago (when it orignally came out). Haven't got AMC or any streaming services that carry it so I'm still looking for a way to watch short of illegal download (which I try to avoid doing since my ISP has been targeted by studios in the past). Hiddleston and the director Suzanne Biers have both been mooted for involvement in the Bond series on the strength of The Night Manager (Hiddleston as 007, Biers to replace Sam Mendes in the director's chair) though Hiddleston seems to be downplaying the possibility of him playing Bond now. I'd rather see him keep playing Loki myself.
I started watching it. It is also on Apple TV. Have watched the frst two and yes, it is VERY good!

Don't forget to sat 'Hi'

I'm still thinking about it. That's how you know it's good. The ending is just AMAZING.

One of the best mini-series in my opinion. I love the lady CIA agent. I saw her in another series that I really enjoyed too.

Really great stuff.

Most women are pregnant for ages - 9 months to be precise.

Anyway, the Night Manager is awesome, if you can watch it, do watch it. The pregnant lady is Olivia Coleman. She's been in lots of things.

An even better series (or at least equal to it) in Britain, is Line of Duty. That hooked me completely.

I used to be a pervert. In here, I'm normal!

Watch this space...She is really - cumming soon!

I did watch it and was implying she was pregnant at the start and everything that happen could not have possibly happened in 9 months! I will say no more or I will be accused of being a spoiler!!

Yes....that's who I meant.

She's been on a few good shows.

Olivia Coleman was wonderful. I probably saw her in other things but remember her first in "Broadchurch". She gave a stunning performance in that. The US version of it had the same male lead actor but was nowhere near as well done as the UK production, largely because she was not in it. She really was pregnant during the production of "Night Manager".

That was another one of my favorite stories that she played in. I saw both versions of that show and you're right the UK version was so much better.

Olivia Coleman is a wonderful actress who played a cop in both series.
