Someone played me this the other day, it's a clip from X-Factor Australia 2013.

Wow!

Do you have a favourite audition video you'd like to share? Post it below smile
Hell naw!

As Mike Rosenberg explains in this "I Hate" live recording, "I hate the X-Factor, for murdering music, you bunch of money grubbing pricks."

I loathe all music competition shows other than "The Voice." And even then, only until the live part starts and the show starts to suck again like American Idol.

That the one with the spinning chairs?
I like the fact that they've done away with all the gimmicks to concentrate on the music.

I'm not one for these sorts of programs particularly. I don't watch X-Factor, Pop Idol, Britain's Got Talent or any of the others.
An occasional YouTube video might catch my eye though.
I don't like these shows either. More often than not, it promotes sensationalism at the expanse of the art that is music. It also promotes the idea that music only exists to impress a crowd, and has no value on its own. It's sad to see that a lot of people wouldn't listen to music if it wasn't presented in a superficial contest of some sort ; people enjoy the competition more than the art, which is quite saddening.

At least they could organize these contests off the air, and only present random amateur talents from around the country.

But I do enjoy watching these child prodigies. Here's a 6-year-old drum prodigy ; I want to start a band with that kid!

we finished our own version of it in new zealand 2 months ago. i liked the auditions cause they were a crack-up (in our terms: funny), the judges were upfront but the girl who won it didnt deserve it.
The uk version is passed it's sell by date. We have got it Saturday and Sunday night up until Xmas far to long in mt eyes. I just hope someone comes up with a song to beat the Xfactor to Xmas number one like they have done the last few years
