Cougars stories, does the guy have to be under 30?

In order for me to write a story about cougars, does the guy have to be under 30?

There's no firm formal Lush rule but generally that's the stereotype. Personally, I think the age gap probably should matter more than the actual age. I mean a woman my age (58) going after a guy in his early thirties seems like it should qualify. She's technically old enough to be his mother after all.

How about 45 y.o woman with a 35 y.o man? 10 year age gap

When I was in my twenties a 56-year-old woman took me under her “wing” . Although I was unfamiliar with the word “cougar” I think that is what is clearly a definition. I am now 55 and have sex periodically with two different women in their 70s. Are they cougars?

That's bit tougher. At first blush, I might say yes but barely. She's certainly in MILF territory age-wise but that age gap is bit narrower than I would usually expect for a "cougar". After all, I started dating a woman who was 33 when I was 24 so almost a similar gap and I don't think she would be considered a "cougar" (I wouldn't call her that anyhow, at least if I knew what was good for me) based on that.

Just stick with whatever you planned. In the end I think if the woman is older than the guy and in her forties, you're probably good. As I said at the beginning, it is not as though Lush has a hard rule for what is a "cougar".

Nothing! Age difference is certainly a subtext tied to "cougar" relationships, but it's not a requirement for a good story about cougar characters.

I think 15 years plus would qualify as a cougar story, although there’s no hard and fast rule. My recent one had a 22 year gap in ages. I think it’s just as important that the woman is aggressively seeking sex from the younger man, rather than being seduced herself, and that she takes control in the bedroom (or primary school classroom, in my story 🤣). FWIW, this is from the MILF category description: 'our Milf Stories section also includes "Cougars", who may not necessarily be Moms at all. The slang word "Cougar" may be defined as a woman over 40 who sexually pursues younger men, typically more than ten years her junior.'

Of course, category descriptions aren't carved-in-stone guidelines, but perhaps it's helpful here.

I think if a woman is old enough to be a guys Mom that would qualify as a Cougar
