My voice is 100% not sexy so I was wondering if we were allowed to ask others to do audio for us?

And if we are will it be on my profile or whoever does the audio?

I have a story in mind I think would work great with audio accompaniement which is why I ask.

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply!

1. Yes, you can ask others to do your audio for you. There are three basic answers they can give you (yes, no, and a rude one).

If I ever (rarely) do an audio for somebody, I insist on doing an edit before I'll think about it. The voice is not always able to translate the written word quite so well when dealing with us amateur writers. Sometimes (my own work included), our stories need a bit of an overhaul in order to produce an effective audio. In fact, some of my pieces were written specifically for audio. They appear awkward and clunky on the page, and only the audio can bring them to life. It's the same with song lyrics. They are a very specific art.

A well-written story can go either way, and loses nothing between the two mediums. That's why many of us proofread our pre-verified work by reading it aloud. It throws up many awkward sentences or mis-types.

2. The audio will be attached to your story, so it will be on your profile. However, you can add a footnote or use the one-liner to give credit to your friend.

But I wouldn't worry; I think my voice is ridiculously stupid, but it seemed to "help" more than one person, so I wouldn't let the fear of how you think you sound put you off. Only you really know where you want inflections and emphasis, or the mood in which you wrote your piece, etc. You could always try it yourself, and ask a friend to listen to it before posting. You never know, you might discover a talent you didn't think you had!

I had the same thought about myself, but M'Lady convinced me to record.

I've had several positive comments about my audio, so maybe I was mistaken

One thing is, we never hear our own voice as others hear it.

I'd say go for it, let others decide if your voice is sweet and sexy - I'll listen an let you know when you get it posted ;)

I totally agree with everything Shylass said.
I might do my own audio but 3 things are keeping me from doing it this time.

1) my crippling shyness & hatred for my own voice.

2) I am not noisy when I masturbate and because this story fits in that category some noise would help.

3) 0 access to a computer. I do all my lushing via phone.

I will do it in the future I just can't for this one.

1. I have exactly the same problem. I treat each audio as if I am an actress playing a part. I sometimes use different accents to help me through the more embarrassing stories.

2. I am silent too. I basically thought of the stereotypical sounds people make when people are simulating sex, and try to reproduce that within the character's role (I don't like watching porn, so I try to remember how others make it sound). I sent the latest piece, which is in the style of a phone message from a masturbating lass to her lover, to two friends before I dared submit it. I trusted them enough to believe them that I wouldn't severely embarrass myself in posting it. I still think it sounds awful, but a few people have said they rather enjoyed it.

3. I recorded mine on my phone, an ancient Nokia to start with, using the fuzzy notes microphone, and latterly on my Galaxy Note. I send them via email as attachments from the phone itself.

I hope that helps?

You took my story idea it seems.

There is a #4 and it's a big reason and it's my voice is to manly. Being Trans my voice isn't right for what I want.

Sorry if I'm coming off as a pain in the ass it's not on purpose I promise.

Sorry. Every story idea I come up with seems to have been done elsewhere. I have scrapped a couple of stories before because other people have posted the same idea a day or so before me, and I didn't want to look like I was "copying", or worse, that they thought I thought their story was worth trying to imitate. Ha ha! I think too much.

Regarding #4, I did wonder if that was the issue. I also wondered if maybe that wouldn't be a problem to people who understand. But you know your story and what you want the best. I would approach somebody you know who might do it, or you could approach one of the mods so they can ask in the relevant places, as sometimes there are people the Powers know who might be able to do it for you. Good luck!
