Anonymous Voting versus Members Only

Do you allow "anonymous" voting on your stories?

I'm just wondering whether authors prefer leaving their privacy settings to only allow members to vote, or if they leave things open to anonymous voters. Have you tried both? Do you find that leaving the setting to "members only" noticeably diminishes the number of votes your stories get? Do you find that it tends to affect your overall scores?

Just curious if authors prefer one option over the other and what their experiences have been.
I leave mine to anonymous voters. If someone really wants to vote me down over some petty issue then let them. It is only a number which in the grand scheme of things means diddly squat. I would think registered users are more likely to vote something down anyways.
Thousands of user submitted stories removed from the site. You are nothing without your users or their freely submitted stories.

I rather enjoy only being blasted and critiqued by the most curmudgeonly bastards about my over-use of ellipses, hyphens, terrible use of modifiers and horrid adverb placement.

I allow anonymous voting...

I remember shortly after I started here, another member told me they always switched it so only members could vote on their stuff after they got up on the Top Author list...they thought it kept them up there longer...
I remember thinking there might be something to it, but that was back in the days when everyone's vote was visible to other members...since they changed that, I'm not really sure it makes much difference...

I leave it anonymous. In exchange for allowing a larger audience to feel like they participated, I'll take the lumps, even though the lumps piss me off from time to time. It's not just for my stories that I get annoyed, but also on behalf of others who work hard to produce good stuff only to have jealous members- or 'couples' in one notable case- put so much credence into a top author ranking that they'll go around knocking stories down with 3-bombs, logging off so they can do it 'anonymously'. Congratulations, morons. Here's your prize:

(yes, keep waiting, you'll get it eventually, we promise)

It's supposed to be a fun type of competition, to reward and recognize quality. It's a shame that twisted people do their thing...and twist it around into something mean-spirited. That said, I'll still take the bad with the good.
Members only here.
If I was promoting my stories on a blog or similar I'd probably allow for anonymous voting.

I used to allow annonymous voting on my stories and poems, but changed it due to revenge low score strikes.

it's all about my ego, and my ego likes votes - i open the voting to ANYone who'll increase that number in the little red box - in fact, i'm seriously considering opening a 'see photos of sprite's damp undies' contest to increase my vote number - self promotion, baby, yeah! *giggles* in all honesty? yeah, i'm good with anonymous votes, despite that fact that they tend to drop 3-bombs on me from time to time - really, it's not that big a deal, normally, to me - if fact, there are times when i think i get high scores that i don't really deserve, so it's a bit of a counter balance. smile

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

I have now chosen members only for the same reason. Prior to that, it was always anonymous voting and I may still change it back as I have noticed my numbers in voting has come to a stand still or it could be that I am too busy to promote my stories, hmmmm. The only time I received a low score (both stories, same day) was when I entered the halloween competition which I sort of expected
