Anyone else having trouble publishing on Lush?

Hi guys,

Just wondering if I'm the only one having trouble publishing stories?

My story is well over 3000 characters yet when I go to submit I get a "Your story must be over 3000 characters."

Anyone else having trouble?

Hi,

Have you used the character counter in word, or whichever program you wrote it in? If not, we have one here: http://www.lushstories.com/resources/count-characters.aspx

It's programmatically worked out here, so your story probably isn't meeting the minimum character requirement...unless it's broken.

If it's over the minimum, please use the Help > Contact Us link, which leads to tech support.

I heard a rumor that one of the moderators sent back one of Scooter's stories with a note that he should take out all the misspelled words...

He did, and ended up with a blank document...any truth to that???

It's not so much in writing a new scooter tale dirty, I write every day to to stay in good scooter form.
It's more in the editing part of the job.
Every time I write a long story, I spend about 6 days running it through my home made spell chec system.
Each day, the story gets shorter, and shorter? ( mostly because I remove any, and all miss speeeeled words)
In fact, I been known to "Over edit', and winde up with nothing but an old worn out sheet of paper.
Does Lush stories have a sister site called; "shortstoriespace"! .com

In all seriousness, I think the reason the originater of this thread asked a question, was to find out why were having soo much trouble posting stories.
I'm sure mine would be posted as soon as Nicola proof reads em, but I think it's all Gavs fault.

I'm sure Dirty Martini and I, plus about 3,002 pretty Lush girls would be willing to help him move those heavy ass Data Base files.
At that point, all good stories would be posted promptly>

I had 6,744 characters in my first story.
When I hit the submit button, it said the same stupid thing: "You must have 3,000 caracters"

Now, I wasn't just born yesterday, so I added 7,000 more characters, and hit the submit button,
and guess what it said again?
I imediatly went to my home made speeeell ceker,
and started speeeel checking till I got to exaktly 3,000 characters.
I hit the dag burned submit buttton one more time,
guesss what it said again?

So then I went to Dirty Martini's Home Page, and brought up one of his lame ass stories,
well it turned out to be a poem with ,,,,,,I think 25 words (or characters) I'm not sure if a words a character, or a letter is a character, and what about comma's? Are they character"s too?

Immediately, a red flag went up in my head, as I was smoking pot that fine day.
An I thought; what the fuck does a guy have to do to get a story posted around here?
If dirty can do it, shirly I can.

My next brilliant idea was; I'll just go goof around in the forums and chat sites, I'm fed up with this, so I did.
I ran into Roccotool, accidently.
He says: welcome to Lush scooter hows it going man?
I says: pretty good since I'm bran new here, and been trying to submit a story all fukin day long, how bout you!
He was a nice guy and all, and was simply tryin to give me the advise that I needed, when some stupid ass moderater cut in on our 1 on 1 conversation,
an says: I'm reading your story as we chat hear...LOL, and it's just full of miss speeeeled words~~~~~~~
So I says" Bull fikin crap Lady, I ran it through my home made speeeel chicker, an I know it's right.......
So then what I did was: checked out a few more lame ass stories. ( Not dirty Martini's this time tho) It was some other broads.
What I found was: a girls story, kind of sexually stimulating fantasy, or it seemed like it, but what I'm trying to say was: it was chalked full of miss spelled words.
The best, I mean best writers I know miss spell words, because its what they do.
It's like driving a car. The more time you spend on the road, your chance's of getting in an accident become greater, speeeel checker or not, proof reading moderater or not,.
Hows come this said moderater was sooo hard on me, but not the other girl?
I told this moderater, all this, and she just refused to listen. I speel words the way I want to present them.
It's as close as you can come to actually being there live. It's an old indian trick I know.
It's how I choose to add color to a story.
This particular moderator, I aint seen in a while, thank god~~~~~~~~~

You know Chef, I was giving this most serious of Lush matters some heavy thought...

And it occurred to me, that one of the long-time moderators might have a bit better luck in the matter...considering your long-time relationship with Nic and all...perhaps if you were to compose a letter of recommendation on behalf of one Mr. Scooter the response would be much more positive in this regard than anything I could ever hope to achieve...

Hey Scooter, I checked with all your character (friends)
and they all agreed to chip in to send you to spelling camp.
you told us some scooter tales when you went to band camp. I would bet my last 2 cents that you"ll have some pretty good scooter tales to write about when you return.
AND I was told to watch out for the spell checker, she doesn't like old Indian tricks.
