Btw, just a note...I know there's a lot of discussion lately about this sort of thing...it always seems to go hand in hand with discussions about stolen stories, all of a sudden there is an increased interest in copyright...

Just to make clear...having something copyrighted in no way guarantees someone is not going to come along and steal it...and technically, something is copyrighted these days as soon as it is "fixed"...

What you are doing when you pay the $35 is you are "registering" the copyright...which can make it easier to prove violation up the road...

And do not under any circumstances assume that because you have your copyright register

Try to get a realistic view of copyright, and whether it is in fact for you...
