I wanted to read spanking stories, but I got picky and it got harder to find stories that I liked a lot. Because I write a lot on my free time I decided to write a good storie myself and I got good response to I continued.
I guess the moral is: when you're not happy with what is given to you, you should get off your ass and get it yourself. And I got really turned on writing my stories.

I have a lot of very VIVID dreams. It started when I first attempted to quit smoking, about 8 months ago. I put on the nicotine patch, and started having strange dreams. A few of them centered around video games (avid nintendo kid turned MMORPG player) and then a few of them turned dirty. I had left a serious relationship a few months before hand, and still hadn't the urge to go out and meet new people. My imagination has always been somewhat large, but that one week with the patch led me to a series of dreams that were just.. Amazing! Waking up every morning gasping, fantastic. Lol. So, it started there. My first story posted here was actually the first dream I had. I didn't start creatively writing until probably... six months afterwards. I was talking to a friend via chat, he went afk for a while. I'm not all that patient, I waited for him for about twenty minutes. After twenty minutes, I started sending stupid little emotes to him. /Pokes you in the cheek, soft but stern. It started out with that, then turned into what would be a story that I have yet to post (not finished, its two note books so far) of a complete tease. I spent half an hour typing to him, while he wasn't there. Things I had done with his body, while he was 'away' from it. Oh, fantastic. xD. It began with that friend. A few of my stories are actually, the men atleast, are in his likeness. He just doesn't know it.
I think it would make him proud.
I like to create what can be enjoyed by a large number of audience. The same friend once told me he didn't like porn where the woman wasn't entertained. He liked hearing her, seeing her, feeling her, in all aspects. It enhanced sex for him. I've kept that in mind, all this time. I really like to showcase all sides of the story, and I like to play with different perspectives, whether it be a man or womans perspective.

I talk too much.
Haha.

Was having very rude and inventive phone sex with a friend several years ago. She suggested I turn one of my more inventive scenarios into a story, so I did. Got a taste for it. Like Damon above, I found it easier to write to my own fantasies than to find stories which dealt with them sufficiently well. Oh yes - and then the writing aspect began to get its claws into me...

In a way it came naturally, because the first rule of writing is to write what you know. I had never written a sex scene until I began working on My first novel Whispers Of Darkness back in 1989 (still unpublished). It was My senior year of high school, and I was having lots of hot sex, so it made sense to Me, since I was writing about a bunch of high schoolers, that they were having lots of hot sex too and there was no way to write around it without the story coming off lame. It was a long novel (1200 pages +) and I can't tell you how many sex scenes were in it without counting. Some of them were little teasers between nice and sweet couples, and others were raunchy, full blow harcore as hell porn between the more ranuchy, racy and evil characters.

A couple of years later I wrote My first intentional erotic story Older Is Bedder. It was also My first BDSM story, although I did not realize it at the time, or really become very aware of the lifestyle until a couple of years later. A high school friend and roomate, who is also a writer who is trying to break into the YA field and now pretends he has no clue who I am because I write erotica, read the story out loud in a faux Arnold Schwarzenegger voice to a crowd of drunken friends one night, and their reaction, despite their laughter, lead Me to believe that I should write "dirty stories" more often.

I believe that I have only written maybe two or three stories since then that did not have a fair smattering of sex of some form in them somewhere. I'm sure I will never be selling children's books like My cousin's husband, but I really don't want to. It's not that I'm a one trick pony, but sex and erotica will always feature into what I write because it is what I love to write. In fact the only things which I have in mind to write at some future date which do not include sexuality and eroticism as an element are a few cat stories I want to do.

A few years ago I joined a site for writers. I wrote short stories, things of that sort and lots of poetry. On this site they had an erotica section. I read one story and i was hooked. I was not hooked in a "i am so turned on" kind of way but in a "I am so very interested in this amazing form of writing" kind of way. I found it to be beautiful and breath taking so I gave it a shot. People really seemed to love the things that I was putting out there and I have been writing it ever since.

I met an Irishman who looked like he'd be the man of my dreams, randomly, on the street in Melbourne at about 3am one morning. I saw him for less than 3 minutes, we exchanged details and I wrote him sex stories for 5 months after that.
We never met up again, he was an abbatoir worker, 5 hours drive out of town and it was a beautiful if one-sided affair.
He was so big, an ex-Irish army man built like a brick shit house I was scared if we ever did attempt the act for real he'd split me in two. Io I just fanned the flames and then one day stopped writing... to him. After that I was hooked.

I started writing erotica through fanfiction.

First it was with Xena: Warrior Princess in my early teens (very badly written I might add), then I took an interest in Harry Potter and I wrote a small unfinished Sailor Moon erotic fic.

I then decided to go on to write it for myself really. After reading erotic works such as "A way of a man with his maid" and the works of de Sade. I thought it didn't hurt to write something just to get my creative ideas flowing.

I had a dream about a very short opening scene for a story, then spent literally the next 72 hours writing a story in my head to the opening (which by the way completely changed from my dream). I finally had to write it down. then ended up writing a number of additional stories.

I used to read erotic fiction in Cosmopolitan and Cleo, to the point where I was smuggling sealed sections home from the library :P
I was always into the written word being a turn-on, way before I started watching porn. I used to jot down little fantasy scenarios, usually of women in situations where their sexual partner was more powerful than them, such as their boss, a ruler, or a policeman. I also loved thinking of little textual details that added to the sensations, such as a woolen jumper scraping against erect nipples, or the way it feels having fingers swept lightly just above your hips (any other girls know that feeling? I fucking love it).
When I was older, I had several explicit text, phone and web encounters, all with language as the main turn-on, and I discovered Lush, so I thought I'd have a crack at writing in earnest.
I'm never satisfied with stories until they turn me on, even when I'm totally familiar with them.

I have only been playing at writing erotica for about a year. It started because I was bored with watching porn. So I started surfing, to see if I could find anything in writing that was better than porn flicks. I stumbled onto Lush, and read a few stories. Some were quite good, and some only average. But they all lacked somethingfor me. So I thought, I should write my own fantasies, and see i I can put them oin words in such a way that they make sense, and tell a story. At the same time, I had been working off and on since about 1980 on a novelin wi=hch i wanted to look at how relationships function in a menage a trois. Having already written about eight chapters, I thoght, why nt put that on Lush and see what kind of reaction you gt? SO I did, and now I am hooked - ojh, I;'ll get back to George, Isolde and the Brass Ring Polka Band evetually, but right now, I am having fun exploring this genre.

I had written an erotic tale for a boyfriend, who LOVED it (based on some of our own playing and pushing our boundaries).

After we broke up ... I put the story away and forgot it.

A few years later, after a long affair ended, I started writing again to put things into perspective, and quite frankly, really enjoyed remembering how sensual and erotic our affair was. I wrote a few, and then stumbled upon Lush ... a perfect place to submit my stories!

Only recently have I been challenged to write outside of my personal experiences .... there is still "me" in the story(ies), but I am working more as an artist with the words and "unknown" character(s).

footnote: That original erotic tale for that ex-boyfriend ... he actually got in touch with me just a few weeks ago ... reminding me of the story. Funny how life works .... smile

My husband and I found this site together. We love reading all of the stories available. I felt that it was unfair to take and not give back. So I mustered up some energy and started writing about our actual sex life (names changed of course) and found that I REALLY LOVE doing it. I hope to continue what I'm doing for ever.

I liked sex but i couldn't figure out how to spell the really dirty words so I left them out....

Instant erotica!

Seriously, I wrote poetry when I was younger but it really wasn't fashionable to be a poet, so I didn't pursue it. Later I started several stories, non-erotic, but lost interest in them. Only recently, (a month ago) did I go back into writing with an urge to express my sexual side. Suddenly, the stories just seem to flow, I find my sexual energy to be the driving force.
On Lush, I hope to sharpen my writing skills and find my "groove". So many great writers here, all willing to share.

Hmm...let's see...I think I have mentally been thinking up naughty stories since...forever. I wanted to write and many of my stories were romantic with a supernatural bent and always, always sex reared it's stubborn head. In my teens and late 20s I was very religious and I kept trying to write without the sex. That basically, plugged up my creative juices all together and I didn't write much but poetry for years. (great creative outlet but not a story!)

Fast forward a few years: I get laid off from a high-powered, high-stressed job, making the most money I'd made at that time, and I realized that there were no guarantees in life. At least, I could do something I wanted or enjoyed for once. So I gave myself permission to write...and to write whatever. The first story I finally finished was a fan fiction story and I let the sex happen and it was good...I shared it with some other fans and they really seemed to enjoy it. It came so naturally for me and I enjoyed it.

That whole religious period has been featured in a couple of my erotic stories, by the way! It's been an interesting ride lol.

Someone I had a crush on in high school contacted me via email. We quickly got personal, then sexual. I took some of the things from those emails and expanded them into a story, The rest is history.

I have a lot of fantasies. Those fantasies play a major part in my stories (none of which I have posted)

An online relationship with a friend took a turn for the saucy and we ended up getting very naughty.

One day I couldn't get hold of him and instead I wrote him a story. It was very dirty and he loved it...

I have continued to write for him and have now published some of my offerings to him here on Lush...

(he quite likes it!)

My sister introduced me to Lush Stories about a year ago. The first story I ever read here, I can only describe as rather boring. I announced to her that I could do better myself. Her response, "go on on then!" I hadn't written anything except letters and greeting card sentiments in almost forty years.

My first story came quite easily, I found I loved writing. I feel I've improved with each one. I also discovered a love of poetry after reading some fantastic poems on Lush. I'm still finding my groove there.

I've found only one drawback to writing here though. That is a lot of readers tend to believe my stories are all based on my own experience. Perhaps this is a common assumption.

I'm finding the most challenging story so far to be the one I'm writing for my grandkids... a fairytale, full of naughty pixies and good fairies.

Ever since school, I've always enjoyed writing stories - it just came naturally to me. Then, when I got older and discovered sex (yippee!) it just seemed natural to write about that too, and to develop fantasies that turned me on. I was happy to write for my own pleasure, but eventually I decided it would be interesting to post one online, and see what other people thought. So I looked around for somewhere to post it, and found Lush. And I've been here ever since!

22 February 2024 - How about a quick plug for one of my filthiest recent stories? It's all in the title - Naked Pool Party Swingers | Lush Stories Please read, comment and maybe give it a ❤️ - or even a⭐ if you really enjoy it! Thank you! Annie xxx

Well, actually, I believe I am the youngest of everyone here - I'm 19 - and I started writing erotica of all forms when I was 13 or 14 (and yes, I'm aware, that is a bit young) but I blame the porn magazines that I found under my older brothers bed. I would actually read the stories rather than look at the pictures - those I could care less about. I actually started writing erotica because I loved to write and find it a good way to vent out all the negative emotions and feelings that I have.

Honestly, writing is a good outlit for me in general.
If you don't care about the color of a persons skin, their orientation or even for their religious preference -- only if you care about their personality, than they are worth having as a friend.

For me, it started with reading romantic novels when i was a teenager. I hated school, hated life in general so i'd escape into the world of Danielle Steele where men just rescued you from anything. Somrhow this moved on to picking up a Mills & Boon from my local supermarket and as i got older i just got more curious and ended up finding Literotica and Lush. From there i got annoyed with the tonne of stories that just had NO build up and went straight to 'he fuckd her and she woz screamin' so i started writing my own. Some people like them, some don't but i guess that's what you get.
Now i'm training to be an accountant and half the time i'm clicking between profit and loss accounts and my latest instalment of Sex Money. It's not a bad life. ;D

I got into writing around 8 years ago but i started writing fan fictions about an Anime show i like then slowly started writing more and more adult things and found i had a talent for it and started doing hardcore stories about 2 or so years ago. I only write lesbian stories and i seem to have a small fan base going. I love writing sexual stories. my girlfriend loves it too because it gives me ideas that i want to try out on her. What can I say I love research.

For me, it's a way of sorting feelings, erotic and otherwise. I first started it as a sort of journal type thing - which i have and never will publish and then it grew into writing stories. Most of my inspiration comes from real life experiences or just pure fantasy and sometimes a mixture of both. I think for me, it's just become another way of relaxing and as I said before sorting thoughts out in my mind. I think I might go insane if I didn't write erotica.

An email correspondence I was having got flirtatious and he sent me some sexual fantasy stories. It only felt fair to send one back. Well, I quite enjoyed writing that first story, and he said mine was far and away better than anything he had written. He was right.

I found that the stories I wrote for myself turned me on more than most 'professional' erotica that I found to read. So, I started to write more and to share on this site.

I have never thought about myself being a writer, author or whatever of anything. I stumbled across Lush about 3 1/2 years ago and read a lot of stories here. Some stories were great and really erotic; whereas most were a turnoff and highly exaggerated. There was no real thought put into their stories. Nearly every guy mentioned had at least a 9" penis, leaked a pint of precum, and filled a pussy with a cup of cum. Lets face the facts here, we are talking about humans and not horses.
Many stories were also not well developed. There was no introduction and no ending, just a lot of words in the middle. Many of the stories were disjointed and events happened randomly and skipped back and forth, like a person trying to escape from a maze. This triggered me to write a story of my own and see how successful I was. I believed I could do better and challenged myself to write my own story. I figured I needed an introduction where the theme of the story was setup, the characters revealed and it led into the body of the story. In the body, I tried to show empathy, pathos, feeling into each character and why they did certain things. I tried to make the reader believe that they could play the role of my characters and understand why they acted that way. Then to finish off the story, I wanted the reader to know the outcome and consequences of the way the characters faced. The reader at all times knew what happened and there was nothing left to the imagination.
I suppose after my first story was read by over 284,000 wonderful readers that I must have done something alright. For anybody reading this, I am trying to help them develop a story of their own, so as they can successfully publish a story here.

Of course you could. Anyone with a decent grasp of their native language could.

As to how I started writing erotica, it is a truly silly story:

When I worked, it involved writing a lot of reports, bid documents, etc.
When I retired, among other things I had more time for reading, including erotica.
I bought a book which was so badly written that I asked the publisher for my money back on the grounds that even I could write a better story than that one. The publisher replied, "Prove it." So a couple of months later I sent him "Helen - Space Slave" ... and the rest, as they say, is history.

Oh, although they published my 18 novels, they never sent me a refund on the original complaint!

I started writing erotica/dirty stories in 2002. I discovered a site online called Phil's Files - which has long since disappeared, I'm afraid, so don't bother looking. Phil had lots of stories, all of them sexy and many of them kinky, and I became fascinated. I did some searching and found a few more similar sites, including an e-mail based erotic writers' group run by an American academic called Mary-Jane (or was it Mary -Jo?) Mohenraj. It was essentially a group for swapping critiques. After a while, I summoned up the courage to write my own story - a piece about public masturbation called 'Night Train in Germany'. I remember the huge sense of transgressiveness I had while I was writing the story. I think I must have been trembling with excitement - and some shame - all the time I was typing it. And I got a huge adrenalin rush when I posted it - and, of course, whenever I got a reply.

That group is long-since defunct, I'm afraid, but I still get a huge charge at the thought of other people reading my dirty fantasies. (All my stories are fiction, incidentally.) I've now written and posted a lot of sex stories - here and elsewhere. I've become more interested in plot as time's gone on, and the act of writing erotica has become less intense than it was the first time. But there's still a delicious freedom in being able to publish porn/erotica for others to share.
