Need Some Help Writing a Voyeur Story

I have an idea for a new story that I want to write, but I'm having trouble getting around the particulars of how to present the story. It's about a man who stumbles upon two people in an alley having sex, written from the point of view of the man who is spying on them. I'm debating having the story revolve around the masturbatory side of things, accentuating the pleasure he experiences of watching two strangers have sex, though I'm wondering how exactly to convey that. Do I focus on the pleasure of him masturbating, fantasizing about joining them, or should I focus more on the sexual escapades of the two people he is watching? I want to make it as realistic as possible while still staying confined to the first-person perspective.

I've written several rough drafts utilizing different approaches to the scene, but not one of them captured me enough to continue writing the scene the way it was going. Does anyone have any advice they could offer?

I would suggest you focus on what is going on inside his head based on what he is seeing. If the man being seen is getting a BJ, have the voyeur "feel" it himself, as he starts to stroke himself off. Base it on what he knows a BJ is like, but maybe he's never had one outside, where there is a risk of being seen. The woman giving it could be totally different from any partner he's had, so he could get excited about what that could be like, too. Or maybe he's never had impromptu sex with a total stranger, so he could start to imagine himself getting it on with her in some way. Add a little bit of fear on his part that either someone else will come along and catch him, or the couple will discover he's been watching.

You could always put a sting in the tail, and have him recongnise one or both of the people, at the end of the story, like maybe it's a former girl-friend, neighbour, relative, etc.

I was discussing this particular topic with my wife and she suggested that I delve into the fear of being caught, which is similar to the fear aspect that you suggested. The idea of recognizing one of the participants is also an interesting allure...I might just add that. Thanks again for the ideas!
