I know I have started quite a few bellybutton or navel related topics here before but this is a bit different so please hear me out. I asked someone once if the female bellybutton is an erogenous zone in women more commonly than in men and he said that it is because females have more hot spots on their body than guys do which made a lot of sense to me. Then he said that many females getting a navel piercing is another indication that their navels are more sexually sensitive than men's. The topic of our conversation was not that every woman's bellybutton is sexually sensitive, we were talking about if it's more common in females than males.
My question is about the the bellybutton ring. I know not every woman who pierces her navel does it because it's an erogenous zone for her.... But is it possible that some women pierce their navels because it sexually stimulates her bellybutton?
So if you take a woman for example whose bellybutton is sexually sensitive, will it help if she has a navel ring ?

Seems logical that it would- like a nipple piercing- but can't speak from experience 
As far as I'm aware, navel piercing is far more to do with decoration than for it doing anything for the person who is pierced.
As for whether navels are erogenous zones, I have never found it so (but then, they're not laid out in a manual, are they? they could be different for different people).
