I think your experiences sound very normal. As for getting high, my experience is thst some highs are very sexually enhancing and others are not at all. Enter that realm gently.
A few drinks and things are easier and friendlier ..... sometimes when I've had a few drinks I become a very serious predator...
Up to a point, alcohol does make me more relaxed, jovial & open to trying new things &/or new people. After that point, it can make me sleepy & lethargic. I don't like getting a call or text the next morning from a guy who starts out by telling me how hot I was the night before, & sometimes even referring to specific sex acts we did together the night before, & I can't remember doing them or sometimes even who TF he is, let alone what we did together. The key is finding your balance point & either stopping your imbibing or trying to hold it there.
