Hey so my mom and I spend a TON on shoes. Well I adore shoes....especially heels. I'm short. Enough said. Anyways my girlfriends we all adore shoes. Guys rarely comment on our shoes. Does this ever bother you? Do you love it when a guy notices your shoes?
My daughter is more addicted to shoes than me, but I do like to have a few nice pairs in my collection. The only real comments that I get from men is when I wear something a little higher than normal and they are surprised to discover our eyes on the same level!
Yessssssssssss ... best pick up attempts always start with shoes.. and although he doesn't stand a snowballs chance in hell ... kudos, kudos, kudos..
Same for girls.. except u know they really mean it.. great way to start though

Haha so true. Actually I meet so many girls by commenting on their shoes . You just like start chatting and then you are like friends and it all starts with beautiful shoes.
I can't help but notice the shoes, my eyes are just always drawn there…and well…when they're gorgeous one just can't help but comment. I do know a few wonderful men who will always notice and comment, they're definitely in my good books!

I buy them from Dillards and Sears when they're on clearance so they last a long time. (higher quality)

My husband doesn't keep track of them, apparently. Because I'll put on my heels I've had for like 5 years and he'll go 'where'd you get those from? Are they new?'

Like hell they're new. lol
I get compliments from men all the time. I seem to attract men with foot fetishes, men who love well manicured toes and well kept feet.

On the flip, I've had men to tell me when they didn't like the shoe. For example, I love the comfort of wedge heels, but I've had some bad reviews from men on that style.

No matter what the comment, I wear what I like. If they like it...wonderful, if not then oh well.
Not a gal but what is this obsession with you women about shoes and handbags? As a guy I start at the top and work my way down. If it ends up I am focused on her feet, is that a good thing?
As a woman with size 11.5 feet (meaning, I have to buy size 12 shoes), I always have to buy the shoes first, then buy an outfit to match the shoes, not vice versa. So, yes, I have quite a few pairs of shoes, some still waiting for the right outfit to come along. I like heels, I like platform heels a lot, and I really don't care if they make me 6'4" or not. Guys can deal, because it's not like I'm getting shorter anytime soon. As far as handbags go--I only have one, a classic black bag with a lockable concealed carry compartment built in.

I tend to believe that it should be the entire package when it comes to a woman. The eyes, the hair, the skin, the body, the way the clothes grace the body, the bag, the legs, the shoes... So ChuckE Sweetie if you are starting from the top and each glance downward is just as interesting as the prior, then being impressed with the shoes or feet isn't necessarily such a bad thing. And, that's before she actually moves in those clothes, walks in those shoes, swings that bag, smiles and says hello.

I think I'm sort of old school about that. What makes a lady is definitely in the details--when it comes to pleasing her man and maintaining herself. But then again, I just love shoes (and bags). I like quality and sometimes that has little to do with price.

I collect beautiful shoes and I think that they are just as important as the outfit itself. Shoes are an extension of my body. I like things to make my ass look good and my legs&toes just as alluring. I love it when both, among other things, subtly catch the eye and compliments--which they do from both women and men. Whether it's my favorite pair of Nike's or red bottomed heels that ooze sex, they have to look good.

I also believe that a girl should look good in her bare feet too. *Wiggles my toes*
? A True Story ?

I am not sure if you are aware of this, but guys look at some heels and we call them "come fuck me heels".
It's nice when guys notice anything: Outfit, shoes, hair, purse, nail polish color, etc.

Some guys are really into that sort of thing (shopping with their ladies and helping them pick out outfits and things like that) while some guys are just oblivious to things like shoes.

And being that you're so into shoes, I bet you have some pairs that are very similar in color and style that your guy just doesn't notice. I don't see it as an issue, especially if he's noticing/complimenting other things. I wouldn't worry too much about it if I were you.

It's the same as any 'obsession' you may have. We like what we like.

Me obsessed? Hmmm. Ok maybe football a bit and ... A little basketball ... And my beer stine collection or my dozen surfboards or ....

Ok point made. Lol
Shoes is definitely a girl thing. The only time men seem to notice is when I wear my "fuck me" heels with seductive clothing. They usually don't say anything, but they look and it is like you can read their mind what they are thinking.
If I may offer a comment as a guy, I'd say that all these 'feminine obsessions' (ie. shoes, nails, handbags, etc.) are a lot more important to you women than they are to us guys. Personally, I appreciate when a woman takes great care of her appearance and displays a feminine style, but I don't go as far as noticing all the little features of her shoes or the exact shade of her nails. When I (rarely) browse these shoes/nails threads in En Vogue for example, I find it extremely sexy and cute that women give importance to these details, but in all honesty I don't really notice that big of a difference between each one of them; they all look fairly similar to me.

All these little details are essentially meant to make you feel pretty, and we get that, but they really don't make that big of a difference to us guys. Again, we appreciate the fact the you care about these things and exhibit a feminine appearance, more than anything.

Pretty much like men enjoy feeling manly by being specific about the cars they drive and how much they can lift at the gym, and yet most women won't really care if a man drives a BMW 328i or a BMW M3, or if he can bench press 150lbs or 200lbs.

Gosh Doctor I went to Valley Fair mall. I went to Bebe, Aritzia, Forever 21, The Limited and even Macy's?? I asked all the sales girls, but none of them said they had a section for "Come Fuck Me" heels?? I'm so confused . Where do I buy them? Is "Come Fuck Me" a new brand like Tory Burch? Please help since you seem to know more about girls shoes than me hehe. (stop giggling girls).

Well I totally get what you're saying. Plus kudos for being HONEST. Wow....rare haha. Hey well what you say may be TRUE, but heads-up.....you'll score huge points for noticing. We totally want you to notice. Just like guys drool when I tell them I think a Golf R with a standard is HOT and the 328 is wimpy (by the way) but the M3 is HOT, but not the like "custom package" fake car. It better be the REAL M3....so yeah....my dad did teach me about cars. Plus Jenny has dated lots of guys with hot cars. Steve had a Aston Martin Vantage so he told me all about his car too. So what's your favourite car? Oh and don't have a fake spoiler. That is totally dorky. Fucking Asian guys do that shit and it makes me embarrassed to be fucking Asian.

Haha I know. Every girl needs a few pair in her closet . Used with discretion such heels can be very effective.

Yeah thanks bunches. No I don't "worry" about it, but I was wondering about other girl's experience?? Yeah you're so right about some guys. Steve loved to go shopping and was super duper patient. He loved to let me try on several outfits and he would wait. He said he loved to watch me "model them" for him. Plus I think he got a total rush from being out with a younger woman and showing me off to all the ladies and husbands in the mall. IDK? Anyways with me if a guy notices I give him total bonus points. So guys....listen up....if you want that "extended version" limited edition blow job you've been fantasising about? Well make some pithy comment about my shoes and how the nude shade is slightly different from the shoes I wore yesterday (because they are TWO DIFFERENT SHADES hehe) and then say something about my hair and how my nail lacquer matches so well with my top.....because it does haha.

OMG girl you are so spot on. Quality and price are not the same. Plus there are shoes for every occasion. I think the "red bottomed heels" went over most of the guys heads hehe....but the girls all caught it. God how many pair do you fucking have? My mom has seven don't tell haha....I only have one . I love Tory Burch right now. I have a few pair. At the end of the day a girl needs to eat healthy and keep the complete package together so that she can look amazing in her bare feet just like you said.

Yeah it's true, not all girls have like a ton of bags. My mom adores shoes, but she's like totally not into having bunches and bunches of bags. She has one classic Kelly bag that she says "looks better the older it gets" and she has a Birkin and she has one new Tory Burch bag I bought her for her birthday. She wears the Kelly for work usually and says a girl should strive to be "classic" at her age. IDK? That's her style. I change bags every day. Haha you're tall and I'm short....gosh....each has its challenges. If my heels are too high then they come off slutty? Whatever right? Can't change my height.

OMG so that's where all these guys are? They're dating YOU hehe. OMG willing to share girlfriend? Yeah I know. I love wedge heels and I have this pair of Prada Nude suede leather wedgies that I adore. Well I'm short so I need some "lift" if you know what I mean. I haven't really gotten "negative feedback" on wedgies, but maybe my dates are too preoccupied to tell me? In the winter do you ever wear open-toe? I have huge fights with my mom over this. She says you're only supposed to wear open-toe in the spring and summer? I think she's too old-fashioned and girls now wear open-toe all the time.

And I fully intend to make them feel wonderful for being so darling and noticing the care I took to get ready for our date. Yes you do your "homework" boys and you will get an "A" from Crissy .

Here's a suggestion. How about creating an "Ask the Guys" poll? See how they feel about wedges versus stilettos. (that would be interesting)

Frankly I believe that a person's confidence attracts, no matter what he or she wears. Wear what makes you feel good. A confident woman can make a $1 flip-flop look sexy and attractive.

(For the record, I said that I receive compliments from men on my shoes. I did not say that my shoe selections or feet attract "all" the guys.)

Confidence. The whole package. That's where it's at. When I see a woman, I look at her overall bearing. I look at the way she moves, the form and lines and sway. I don't notice individual details like shoes or handbag. Heck, I usually don't even notice details about her dress until we've been speaking for a while. I'm more tuned in to her eyes, her facial expressions, her smile, and what they tell me about her personality. I want to know HER. Window dressings can come later. Maybe I'm just odd that way.

The 328i is wimpy? Well, you sure are difficult to please, that's a $50,000 car. And the difference between it and a M3 really isn't that noticeable, especially to a person that doesn't know cars all that well.

Here's a 328i and a M3, side by side. I'm not quite sure that many women would really notice the difference; at least I wouldn't pay the extra $25,000 just to impress women:

I have some of my favorite cars exposed in one of my galleries, if you're interested: Things I Enjoy

My dream car would be the Camaro Yenko 1969 by far, though realistically speaking I don't really see myself driving it, even if I won the lottery (rarity, performance, fuel consumption, etc.).

But that's way off topic...

Okay Serene I don't normally argue with guys about cars. I'm way more interested in shoes. However to say a 328i and an M3 are "almost the same" is fucking crazy. That's like saying the smart handsome guy who speaks four languages, is elegant, charming, rich and witty is the same as a guy who looks similar, can't speak English well, dropped out of HS and is a dweeb. A 328i has a 4 cylinder engine that produces 240hp. Got it? On the same page with me? Okay an M3 looks similar I will grant it.....HOWEVER....it has an in-line 6 that produces 425 hp and tons of torque. Plus darling it has the special M BRAKES....special compound brakes.....so YOU DON'T KILL ME.....(my dad would be pissed haha). The M3 is a completely different car, with different chassis, different suspension.....it only looks similar so the normal dweeb on the street won't know how fucking hot it is. I guess the reason men want me so badly is because I know shit like this and I'm cute and sweet and.....well I'm Asian....so enough said haha. OMG when I told Jen you thought a 328i was "similar" to an M3 she laughed. Guy what kind of dumb girls do you date?

But that's way off topic...
