Many years ago, about 1978, I felt that I was. I wanted to head up a particular committee that was being formed. In my mind my educational background and experience made me the best choice, but it went to a younger and less experienced man. Maybe I was, maybe I wasn't. Maybe someone was aware that I thought this would be a feather in my cap for advancement and that was my thinking for applying for the position. I do not divulge much information about myself but I will say that I was in education. I feel confident that educatin is a field where male dominance has all but disappeared except perhaps at the graduate university level.

if you're being legitimately discriminated against at the work place, it's not playing the victim if you file a complaint, just like it's not playing the victim if you report a . encouraging women to remain silent is not helpful.
