Have you ever felt discriminated against or harassed in a work setting for being a woman? If so, how did you react to it? If you didn't react do you wish you had?
Not discriminated against or harassed, but I was once pressured by superiors to use my body if that's what it took to obtain large contributions from wealthy donors. (I didn't)
In the UK women are still very much discriminated against despite it being against the law. Pay equality is the current dispute that is being talked about in the media.
Excuse the edit: I've decided that I don't wish to discuss my work on Lush.
I have never and will never play the victim role. No I have never been discriminated in the work place or anywhere else.
I do seem to attract the attention of the male version of the specie. That I thank Mom for and feel blessed by my good fortune.
Many years ago, about 1978, I felt that I was. I wanted to head up a particular committee that was being formed. In my mind my educational background and experience made me the best choice, but it went to a younger and less experienced man. Maybe I was, maybe I wasn't. Maybe someone was aware that I thought this would be a feather in my cap for advancement and that was my thinking for applying for the position. I do not divulge much information about myself but I will say that I was in education. I feel confident that educatin is a field where male dominance has all but disappeared except perhaps at the graduate university level.
