I don't think anyone should assume their partner would be "okay" with them having an affair. If you KNEW .... as in you both communicated and mutually decided to be with other people, then I don't see why you wouldn't be open and honest if he/she wanted to know.

I agree with lilbee, I don't think most men would be good with it. I know my husband wouldn't want me to have an affair. However we have both in the past had sex with others. There is a difference between sex and affair.
I think that whether the husband wants it or not, he needs to know if an affair has happened. And I, for one, would want to know if my husband slept with, or had an affair with someone else.
