It's been a month since I've been able to bike, so I figured I'd take this time to start evening out my cyclist tan, and actually use our pool. I'll throw on my light blue swim brief (unlined--girlfriends favorite), put on some sunblock, and go lay on a lounger on the pool deck next to the pool. I set timers, then, once they're done, I'll get up, and hop in. I don't go out there and tan everyday, probably, 4 days a week.
About 2 weeks ago, I went for a walk around the development, and the woman who lives behind us was outside doing some yard work(her back yard has a pretty good view of ours, as hers is slightly elevated). I smiled and waved, to which she said hi. Had one of those quick, nothingness, "Nice weather we're having!", type conversations, to which she said, "It's a perfect day to catch some sun and go for a swim, isn't it?"
It didn't necessarily register in the moment, but I agreed, saying, "Sure is. That's exactly what I'm doing once I get back."
She just smiled then said, "I'm jealous. Enjoy!"
When I got back, I changed, and got out there. I usually tan my back first, then roll over, which is when I heard her slider door open behind me. Thought nothing of it until I got up to jump in the pool, and there she was, sitting on her back porch. She smiled and waved. I smile and wave back, then hop in. The water was really warm, so, no shrinkage. Full on display as I get out, as the suit clings to me heavily when wet. Walk over to grab my towel, look up, and she was still there, looking, smiling, again, with a wave.
The next few times I go out, I hear her door open again, then a few foot steps. Get up to jump in, same thing, look over, we smile and wave. The next few times, nothing. Then, late last week, I go out, and there she is, but she's on the phone. We smile and wave, but this time, she tells the person to hold a minute, then says, "That blue one looks really good on you."
I thank her, tell her that it's my g/f's favorite, too. She says, "I can see why! Have fun." Then, I hear her quietly tell whoever she was on the phone with, whom I'm assuming was a friend, that I had just come out--"remember that guy I told you about? Uh-huh. Him."
Her compliment echoed in my head, and a few minutes after I rolled over, with the hot sun beaming down, it happened: I got rock solid. When my timer went off, I was hesitant to get up, but when I did, I looked over, and she was standing up, leaning on the banister, sunglasses on top of her head, grinning from ear to ear, still on the phone. We smiled and waved, and I hopped in the pool.
Every time I've gone out since, she's out there. Every time I've rolled over, I'm hard as a rock. We smile and wave. The last 2 times, I plumped myself back up before getting out of the pool, and slowly walked over to get my towel. We smile and wave.
Is it bad of me for enjoying this, or should I stop?
