Ladies Only Please--
In your mind, is there a difference between being in love with a man and being in love with another woman, other than the physical aspects?
Quote by BethanyFrasier
I don't think I've ever really been 'in love' with a man, or could be. I've been deeply in love with two women, and the feelings/needs were intense. I have loved a lot of guys, but never with the depth of emotional investment I had with my girlfriends. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to make life-companionship work with another woman yet, but my boyfriend David is as close to a life companion as I will probably ever get. I couldn't ask for anyone more compatible. And while he is 'in love' with me, he knows that I love him, and have for years. I'm just not 'in love'.

Becky and Bethany your are two of the smarter woman on Lush. But this time I must disagree.
I am deeply emotionally and physically in love with a man and have been since I was in my early 20's. That was after several No's, Hell NO's and Fuck Off No's. We live a life I knew god did not have in his plan for me. Plus two smart and successful daughters.
There also have been a couple of woman, which one of them goes back to my school girl days. I still am deeply in love with her and I think I will always be in this same position.
However for me the love of another woman is not the same as the love for a special man.
Just the thoughts from the West Coast.

Love can be reduced to a molecular level, chemical interactions occur within each individual beyond consciousness. When people say they had chemistry going on, they were not incorrect. How long love lasts is dependent by how much entropy increases when the heat goes out of a relationship, ie heat dissipation occurs either rapidly or if the lovers are satisfied within themselves, how much entropy is slowed which will allow the relationship to endure until eventually even that order will tend towards disorder in accordance with the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics. Chemically speaking, love is doomed from the outset.
There is no chemical system which emits heat that can violate the 2nd Law. All things considered, we can confidently add that which many call love is also little more than emotional input from the brain's emotional center, the limbic system, and love is really another word for an emotional dependence.
Biology , well it's postulated that feelings of so-called love exist to encourage replication, and the long period period required to raise offspring thereafter , of course as we've mentioned, if entropy increases rapidly between the lovers, a lot of relationships collapse long before the offspring have reached maturity.
Love therefore, we can conclude is a nothing more than a series of chemical reactions at the molecular level, and as such will always fail in the end, just as everything in the universe is increasing towards maximum entropy. And one day , the universe will cease to exist when all it's energy ( 1st Law of Thermodynamics ) , ie heat is dissipated,
