If the guy has invited me to coffee at Starbucks or a burger at MickeyD's I would not care how he was dressed but this would not be a date. I most likely would have seen him before he said "Lets have whatever?"

But if he arrived as described, he may get the door slammed in his face, but for sure he will not get the pleasure of the use of my pussy tonight and more likely never!

I know these are tough times for jobs and maybe the guy does not have a suit. However, nicely pressed cotton slacks, a jacket and open collared shirt would work just fine.

Don't tell me he may not be able to afford this kind of wear either. I submit he could say we need to go someplace casual not expensive like Denny's or IHOP. I would respect him and be waiting for his arrival. I too would be dress for this situation. Honest classy men are hard to find!

Thank you all my friends that responded, i do appreciate it.

Many of you validated my position, but many of you did not.

LoveWhen: I am considered easy, but if you are dressed like a Bum you chances of testing my easiness is greatly reduced.

Phoenix you are funny. Even if everyone thought I was Wacko a good laugh would make it all feel better

First I don't think every one thoght you were a wacko.... I think its a generational thing.
I'm 48. Oh God I'm pushing 50! Still hot though (might need an ego check).
I believe in dressing up for a woman. Don't get to do it often enough.
I don't even have a pic on my profile with me dressed up. I may just have to take one... just for you!

I hope I gave you a laugh. I feel there are two things that can make a beautiful woman more beautiful.
First, a smile that comes from laughter. Its always genuine.
Second, The look of ecstacy as it takes her over the top.

Anika! If I was in that restaurant, I would have to excuse myself and go up to the guy and let him know that his girl should be treated with respect and he should probably excuse himself. I would probably wait until I saw him go to the boys room and follow him in there. It is absolutely a disgrace, especially to that nice girl. He might be a nice guy but someone should take him under their wing and teach him some proper etiquette.

Maybe I'm old school but that is the way I was raised and the woman still should be treated like a princess....

You sound like a complete delight to go out with, picking on complete strangers without knowing the whys and wherefores of their private situation.

Not.

OK, I may be in the minority here, but there a several things that go into determining whether or not a guy is a attractive. Yes, first he has to be clean. There is no getting past poor hygiene. But if he has a good body, a nice smile and eyes, he is attractive to me even if he is not dressed that well.

Second, he has to have a certain charm and sexuality about him. confidence, without arrogance is very sexy. but most of all, he has to clearly be attracted to me; and he has to show it. he has to demonstrate that he really wants me; and that he realizes he is very, very lucky to even have a shot at getting into my panties.

and yes, a well endowed and very rigid penis is a definite plus.

Finally, he has to be more concerned with my pleasure than his own. Cindy

I think any man who doesn't attempt to match his partner in style on the first date is making a big mistake. Smart or casual, what's the problem? In this case, knowing the restaurant is classy, he is disrespecting his date, big time. If you want to get anywhere near her pussy, you first need to get into her mind.

Maybe its the difference between men and boys. Men know......, boys know s**t.

I tend to be the one that is more 'dressed up' than my dates - just not my style to be less than put together unless I'm in the thick of a relationship where a level of comfort has set in. I think the issue is that we'd like to see the men we date make a bit of an effort and often times, taking the time to put themselves together and dressing the part fits into this category for many women. Personally, I am not so shallow as to hold a man's wardrobe against him and instead, prefer to seek out the man behind the car, clothes, bravado or whatever else it is he's choosing to show the world. At the end of the day, it's about finding someone and being with a man that treats us well - all the rest of it is just white noise at some point.

My view is , that it is disrespectful to turn up for a date scruffy and unkempt . It says take it or leave it , this is me , which might give the girl the idea that he regards her as no more than a scrubber .
Yes , Slam the door in his face .
However , there are girls who like a bit of rough .

I think the biggest thing here is we don't know this relationship.
From my own experience I am always more dressed up than my man, I like to dress up for myself. I also know that if it is a special occasion he will make an effort for me, so on other occasions I am fine with whatever he choses to wear. To me there are just some things more important than apperance: honesty, kindness, humour, intelligence, endurance.

As a younger guy (I'm only 25) even I would not dress like that for anything. Even my younger brother who does have kinda of the hipster laid back since of fashion would not dress like that for a first date evening out. It's true men don't always rock the suit and tie but there are those of us who do at least take the time to make sure we are presentable. The way I look at it if a woman is taking the time to look smoking hot for me then I should take the time to make sure that I pay her the respect of not looking like a bum.
