Okay I'm always wearing pale shades of nail colour these days. What colours and brands are you girls into? I love to compare. The guy I'm dating right now always compliments my nails and hair and stuff so he's earning big "bonus points" haha. Tonight I'm wearing pale Ivory/Cream? What colour are you wearing? Also does your BF or husband notice and comment?
Because I'm a manicure killer, I've gone to the gel polish. It lasts me 2-3 weeks without chipping and unlike acrylic nails, I can still wear my contacts. As far as color goes, I tend to go with a "professional" looking color. Currently it's a mauve like color. I might go a bit more pink or purple (those two colors look really good on me) and in the summer, I'll get a bit crazier with my color choices. I will say my female students have noticed and asked. I find the nail polish give me a bit more of a professional look and I don't mind paying the extra cost because it will last longer than an hour or two (not a joke, I really have ruined a manicure that fast.)
I wear a lot of traditional colors, red and light pink.

I Love this polish because it dries so quickly!
Other polishes take forever to dry.
After applying the first coat you only need to wait a minute or two without any tackiness.
I love that because I don't have to worry about smudges! And who wants to wait these days for anything...Oh and one more thing, it stays on without chipping for a long time!
The High Price is worth it!!!!
I did a Halloween manicure ... I used one of my special design stems and drew a spider web with "Black Out" from OPI, then covered it with Estee Lauder's 'Champagne Frost'. It's my favorite color, and I'll be sad soon because it's almost gone, and more than what I want to pay for a polish. It's like a golden beige and wears really, really well. It gives the spiderweb (that I painted on top of a clear base coat) a shimmery effect.
