Got my implant in my arm a month ago and I have not stopped bleeding.
I have realised that this may be me for a while.......
Any of you have some trouble and what do you do about sex....
Vaginal sex ok but no one wants to be down there unless you are a vampire....?

Is that normal to bleed when you have a contraceptive implant??

I'd think not and suggest you head to see your General Practitioner (GP, General Physician or OBGYN specialist).

Any bleeding that goes on for an extended period of time in an indicator something isn't right. (dosage may be too high, too low, maybe the implant is not a good fit for your health, etc).

Be your own advocate for your own good health.
I know I am a bloke and this is ask the girls but you could go and see your doctor and use the pill as well as the implant for a month or two to see if it stops the bleeding
Thanks for reply.
Apparently only 20% of women do not bleed at all, for the 3 years that you wear the implant in your arm.
Been back to the GUM clinic and they say it is normal. Obviously I am in the 80%.......
They say it will take up to a year to stop.
Just wondered if any of you have come across this as I can only find the happy 20% if I google it.
Are you bleeding profusely? Like a normal period? Or are you just spotting?

Spotting is normal with any form of contraception. Bleeding in general is not.
