Well, there seems to be some confusion about this. I consider rimming a fetish because I am abnormally interested in it, which is one of the dictionary definitions. And as for it being a standard part of mainstream sex, it depends on the individual. While most of the women I have rimmed liked it, some responded openly and honestly, i.e. with moans and groans and writhing. Others allowed me to do it but said and did nothing to indicate they were involved in the act at all. And a couple scooted up the bed on their hands and knees to avoid it.
