As someone still trying to figure this place out, I am curious as to why so many of you are "invisible" when visiting the site? It would seem that it would make it very difficult to start a conversation with you, as my Lush friend, if I never know when you are visiting the site. Is there a secret to determining whether you are actually online or not? I get it, that you might be hiding from guys that might be bothering you, but what about your friends?

Well, I am frequently invisible, since I don't use Lush as a social platform all that much. I make friends, and I like to connect with people who have followed my writing or even just voted. I have a few close friends here, and while I'm not at all opposed to making closer connections with my more casual friends and acquaintances here, I just don't have the time most days. I am here to check on my stories, publish, or read/comment in the forums. I reach out to chat with my friends occasionally, but it's not my main purpose for being here. I will often respond to messages immediately, even if I am invisible, though.

I log in several times a day to answer my messages, or post on the forum questions. If I show as online I would not be able to answer my messages or post. Often I may be logged in for an hour or so, but could only spend 10 to 15 minutes, 3 to 4 minutes at a time in between tasks at work or during other more erotic tasks.
I have told many of my friends if you want to meet up let's set a time and I can devote that time to just visit with that one friend. Either with private chat, messages, or the black boxes. I do not like to message or chat with more than one person at a time.
So it boils down to how much time I can spend here. It's hard to hold a conversation with some one here when you only have a few minutes at a time.

I am in and out all day. I have a select few top of my list people that I allow to see me. Otherwise I message back and forth or email, I work a lot in email. I am usually in the forums or reading or researching a story on here. I do however pop in hoping to see Sprite online, but never lucky enough to time it right. She has me blocked again I guess. *pout*
