I have always loved red heads and always will. When I was in HS, I dated 3 redheads at the same time. All 3 knew of each other and were best friends. I fell head over heals for one in particular however, her mother was not very fond of me as she is old school and did not believe in inter racial relationships so it was hard on us both. That eventually lead to her mother moving her away and when that happened I lost contact with her. If I was to run into her today? I do not know what would happen however, one thing I do know, I'd give her the kiss I was not able to give her before she was taken from me. I loved her dearly as she did I and I still have a place for her in my heart. A day does not go by that I do not think of her in one form or another. Much

I haven't opened the New Yorker yet this week and was pointed toward the article by Jezebel, which has posted a few adorable vintage ads for Max Factor makeup. In one, lipstick colors are named for the haircolors they are meant to flatter: Blonde, Brunette, Brownette, and Redhead. The Jezebel writer, Dodai, is not familiar with the term, but I am. In the days of yore, the term Brunette was reserved for ladies with only the very darkest shades of brown or black hair. Brownette came after because there wasn't really a special term set aside for the medium-hued category. I hear people referred to as blond(e)s or redheads often, but brunette isn't used as much anymore. Personally I vacillate between shades of brownette and blonde, and definitely prefer my blonde with the 'e.'"

I am very attracted to the full ginger package. Red hair from a bottle doesn't do it for me, but natural red hair, blue or green eyes, fair skin with freckles and that 'soft' look is really a great combo. Other natural redheads are attractive also, but I think the attraction goes back to this one Irish-American girl that I went to school with since kindergarden.
