(pretending to be a guy so I can add my two cents) I'll agree with this one. There's alot of difference between forgive and taking her back.

It's a hard life carrying around hurt and hate and fear. Far easier to make sure she can't come into your life again, work through the pain, forgive her (even if only for the sake of your karma ;) ), and move on.
