Hi, i noticed that in chatrooms the shared images are often huge and the only available solution if you want to follow the conversation is hide the images or keep scrolling up and down.

I've tried successfully to add this line as a personal stylesheet in my browser:
img.embed { height: 200px;}

Maybe other users are happy if you add this line in a server stylesheet.

Thanks,
Lucia

Thanks VioletSand!

Will that only squish the height though, not do it proportionally?

I don't know how far he's got down his to-do list, but as a priority, Gav is meant to be working on chat room improvements for those on mobiles in particular.

My personal preference is integrating a ready made new chat service like "Discord" with all the bells and whistles like voice chat, but I think that is some way away.

Large images seem to only be an issue on the original chatroom form as I've been using the mobile style sheet since it was introduced and haven't had an issue.

But yes, if users would prefer for the images to be smaller than 500x500, then I'm sure something can be done.

Plus, Lush has been resizing images after they've been posted.

Oohhh, voice chat on lush? I'm loving that idea.

Every browser resizes images proportionally if only one of the dimensions is fixed. You can explicitly declare "width: auto;" to be sure.

It is possible to create more complex stylesheets to have you page display differently on different devices, but i believe that here a simple height paameter can do the trick.
