Is it possible to have sound when streaming in the chatrooms?

Mute/Unmute option from the three dots?

I don't think its a viewing issue, I think its a streaming issue

Sorry but can you please describe the scenario and what you are expecting that is not happening. I assume we are talking using cams in the chat rooms which obviously are streaming.

So I've got a friend who is streaming, their microphone and camera ask permissions to be used and they say yes to both, we can see them on the chatroom stream but can't hear them. When someone else was streaming earlier I could hear them but not my friend. I'm just trying to figure out what's going wrong at their end to help them

For a one to one experience you need to create a private room.

I did that and streamed there but then received a message that others were viewing the cam that were not in the room…and I closed participation in all other rooms, including Lounge, before I streamed…. So I was told afterwards by a mod that any stream in a room is visible to any member…….

If you stream in a room then all the occupants can view. The point I tried to make is that if you want a one to one stream then create a private room and just effectively invite the one member you wish to stream with.

That’s what I did… had a local room with password. Gave it to one person. Was in no other room. Started streaming there ….they could see. Then another person told me they were viewing and enjoyed and I could see someone was still viewing when the person I was streaming for left…and the person viewing still was not in the pvt room I was streaming in.

So I have now reported this to the development team and will advise again in due course.

Publishing a camera is muted by default, the publisher will need to unmute it their side for viewers to get audio. To publish just to a private room, select the three dots icon in the publish camera pod, under "Publish to" should be your passworded private room, selecting it will publish just to that room.
