Yes. On the whole would have to say masturbation provides better release/satisfaction.
I would make the point that all paid sex is not equal. A $50 quickie from a street hooker is going to be a different experience from a "date" with a $200-300 an hour escort. I've used the latter and had some very good times (and even the bad ones weren't terrible). The women at this level tend to take care of themselves and focus more on building and maintaining a clientele so the experience tends to be better.
