I am just wondering if tights are becoming more sexier. In the past it was the stocking that was always leading the way with tights being used mainly for day to day wear.

I feel like tights have always been an item that held some level of sexiness while it would be pointless to agrue that stockings aren't, I feel the differences between the two are somewhat subtle. I think tights are versatile in the sense it can be woren as an everyday item while also being sexy, especially with all the new patterns that have come out for tights.
Personally I prefer cotton or natural fibre leggings to tights. I don't like the feel of nylon (itchy), but each to their own. On the days I have to wear a formal skirt with tights for work I can't wait to get home and remove them.
If I'm wearing smart wear for an evening out, at least hold-up stockings still allow my nether regions to breathe - however they need regular adjustment so that would attract some unwanted comments in the workplace.

I wear tights/stockings a lot. It is winter here so I slip them on under my skirts/dresses. I wear them every day with my work uniform otherwise my little leggies would get cold.

Back in the land that time forgot there were no tights. Stockings and suspenders were for work and sexy. We hippies were not fond of stockings as a rule. When tights came out I tried them, but I don't like having a sweaty, smelly cunt. Acceptable leg coverings included skirts, jeans, leggings and shorts.
