Yoga pants appearing sheer, even almost invisible...

I read recently that Lulumon realized that their quality control standards had become quite lax, and their yoga pants had developed very real problems of being sheer and piling.

I saw just how sheer they can be for myself this past Saturday while tailgating at the football game. It was the first game that was cool enough for the coeds to wear yoga pants and leggings instead of their standard short little red sun dresses. I noticed that in the sun at certain angles the yoga pants would just about go invisible, showing all the girls' goodies. At one minute the pants would appear to be completely opaque and then a slight turn and like magic 'wala' invisible. One could easily see what type, color, and/or lace pattern of panties a coed had on. In some cases it was easy to see that they were going commando underneath. I really did feel bad for them but didn't think I should tell them, "Hey your yoga pants are so sheer at certain angles I just saw your vajajay split" or "Is that a birth mark on your left butt cheek?"

So you ladies may want to check out just how sheer those yoga pants are appearing while out in the sun. Believe me at certain angles and turns, everything you've got is going to be exposed.

Maybe Lulumon should change the name of their yoga pants to hologram pants because of their changing affects.
MrChip (Lululemon's originator) made a real bumble about .... not all women's bodies suit their yoga pants. Then, to elaborate more, he said it depends on how women WEAR their yoga pants, etc. as the fabric will pill, become worn and sheer, etc. Huge backlash on that one .... ooops. He has since apologized.

I've owned probably a dozen Lulu's, and I have not had an issue with them. I think there is a misconception with many women that they can squeeze into SMALLER than normal sizes .... but all that does is stretch the fabric more, and of course it becomes too sheer!! jeezus .... imagine wearing a small size tshirt ... then, go out and work out with said smaller size tshirt - eventually the fabric from washing, drying and wearing is gonna get thin. If one wears the correct size, you don't have such an issue.

Honestly .... in proper fitting yoga pants, you should NOT see; a camel toe, pubic hair, thong or toilet paper bits left on the ass.

I wash my Lulu's in cold water and NEVER put them in the dryer; I hang them to dry. (washing and drying with heat will also ruin the fabric) I also rotate them, not wearing just one constantly.

So ladies .... unless you wanna look like a skank or hooker, try to wear the proper size and you won't have an issue of "hologram pants".
Depending on the fabric used, *some* yoga pants can appear sheer based on the quality of fabric eg. if you buy a $20 pair of yoga pants, don't expect too much out of them. As a long-time devotee of Lululemon gear, I will say that they did fuck up slightly on a few of their recent fabrics, which they have acknowledged and worked to fix. There is another factor that is often at play however and it's the fact that many women try to squeeze themselves into sizes that are way too small when they are given a stretchy-fabric garment. I can't tell you the number of times I've seen this with both yoga pants and leggings - people need to wear the proper size! Just because it stretches doesn't mean it should be at its max stretching point at all times. It's a pet peeve of mine. I don't understand the issue with sizes - nobody knows what size you're wearing other than you anyway. If it bothers someone, they should just cut the tags out. For Lululemon, the sizes run small as it is, so people ordering blindly online or those who refuse to believe they can be a larger size than they are in normal clothes may insist on squeezing into them, assuming the stretch will take care of things. A fabric can only handle so much.

Edit: I posted this at the same time as PA. Same outlook on the sizing. And yep, Lulus are great! I wouldn't be without them! smile
My wife had a pair of black Lulelelomon's on, but with a light weight red sweater that fit like an ultra mini, so I saw no sign of sheerness on hers. And I didn't see the sheer effects on everyone's yogas either. However, there was a quite a few that did have a problem. They did seem to be girls with the tightest fits.
Buz I noticed as well, but it seemed only the one's whom didn't have the body for them or the women wearing a few sizes to small are the one's what you have described has happened to
My takeaway point from this is it's a crying shame that hockey rinks are too cold to encourage hockey moms to wear yoga pants.
