OK I do have a myspace account. But I am looking for somebody to molest me so that I can stop molesting myself night after night. LOL...j/k. It is a good place for people to communicate and catch up with old friends.

Amen to parents monitoring their kids' online activities. My daughter's My Space doesn't have her full name mentioned anywhere. Her other demographic info is also fictitious. I check her MySpace regularly. Same with my son's My Space and Facebook. Although he is older, he's still not an adult yet and it's my job to keep him safe. Fortunately for me...I am computer savvy. My kids know this and don't even try to sneak stuff by me anymore. Heaven help my child if I have to recover a deleted history! LOL

That was a horrible tragedy. The mother of the daughter next door pretended to be a boy interested in the neighbor's daughter. Said all kinds of wonderful things at first and made her feel special. Then turned on her and said terrible things about her. It was vicious harassment, but no apparent "crime" had been committed by the other mother (I was baffled too). My heart goes out to the family of the girl that killed herself. However, I will stand by my philosophy that it is MY job as a parent to be aware of what is going on in my daughter's life. I read her My Space, I ask questions, I pay attention to her moods and make sure she knows she can tell me anything. Still how the vicious mother sleeps at night is beyond me. Who does that to a child?

Mom indicted in MySpace suicide case
Computer charges against woman whose daughter feuded with victim
LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles federal grand jury indicted a Missouri woman on Thursday over an alleged role in a MySpace online hoax played on a 13-year-old girl who committed suicide.
Lori Drew of suburban St. Louis was indicted on one count of conspiracy and three counts of accessing protected computers without authorization to obtain information to inflict emotional distress.
Drew allegedly helped create a false-identity MySpace account to contact neighbor Megan Meier who thought she was chatting with a 16-year-old boy named Josh Evans.
Meier hanged herself in October 2006 after receiving cruel messages, including one stating the world would be better off without her.
Drew, 49, has denied creating the account and sending messages to Megan.
MySpace is based in Beverly Hills. The indictment noted that MySpace computer servers are located in Los Angeles County.
Because of juvenile privacy rules, the U.S. attorney's office said, the indictment refers to the girl as M.T.M.
Each count in the indictment carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
Last month, an employee of Drew, 19-year-old Ashley Grills, told ABC's "Good Morning America" she created the false MySpace profile but Drew wrote some of the messages to Megan.
Grills also claimed Drew suggested talking to Megan via the Internet to find out what Megan was saying about Drew's daughter, who was a former friend of Megan's.
Grills said she wrote the message to Megan about the world being a better place without her, which was supposed to end the online relationship with "Josh" because Grills felt the joke had gone too far.
"I was trying to get her angry so she would leave him alone and I could get rid of the whole MySpace," Grills told the morning show.
Megan's death was investigated by Missouri authorities, but no state charges were filed.

I just created a Myspace in order to contact friends. That's all I use it for. I regard it as just a tool for communicating and I'm not going to be blogging with it or picking up women with it.

There are a lot of people in this country that do not take any responsibility for what they do or do not do and should have done. It's like there is always an excuse as to why "it's not my fault"
