I do love this. Maybe it's the xylophone??? Although, Kimbra's part is awesome!
Thank you so much

I so so love this song. Whether it's the official video, the basement or even 5 people playing one guitar, I still haven't heard a bad version. I am still having a hard time deciding if I have a bigger crush on Gotye or Kimbra
I like the Walk Off The Earth version better myself, but hey - what do I know?
I like this track in particular:

I glanced @ this forum thread title and thought it read: Goatsie.

I'm glad I was mistaken. Nice little tune you've shared, Nic. Reminds me of The Police.
The same GQP demanding we move on from January 6th, 2021 is still doing audits of the November 3rd, 2020 election.
I LOVE this!

(I heard it first during a break-up and it REALLY hit home!)

Beautiful....

OO! i never heard these guys before, but i love this! *bounces* more! more! biggrin

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

I hear you on all aspects.. it was on repeat..between fado sessions..xx

love the entire album by the way..
It's played on BBC6music all the time... I love it...
Every now and then we have some real musical talent in this country. Shame that most of them never get the chance to display their talent overseas, especially in the US. Im not sure if he has released "somebody that I used to know" yet in the US, but if and when he gets the chance, Im sure it will be just as popular there as it has been here and in the UK. Its a brilliant single and Im sure everyone can relate to it in some way. I think thats what makes it so popular.

It has been released, and it's been getting plenty'o air time here over the last few weeks. In fact, I think they're almost Nickelbacking it to death. I really do like it a lot, tho.
I've heard of this song before But sadly never really took the time to finish listening but Wow.. That was one of the most beautiful and brilliant songs i've heard so far Me = a new fan biggrin
I bought "Making Mirrors" on iTunes - there are 4 tracks that are pretty weak (trying to be a "poppy"), but overall it's a great album.

I give it 4½ stars. How about you David? (in-joke for Aussies)
This is currently my favorite song to listen to and will probably make it into my "best of ..." collection. I love the official video as well as the supporting vocals by Kimbra.

The scary part is how fast it is becoming poplar here considering it was just "officially released" in Canada a little while ago.

As Oscar Wilde said "We are all IN THE GUTTER, but some of us are looking up at the stars."
"Like Drawing Blood" is a lot better album imho.

As someone on youtube said, they've had almost a decade to be an overnight sensation!
At the risk of lowering the tone..... (It's ME, people....)

Wouldn't you just knock the little arse off Kimbra?

Her moves in the Live In Studio video are totally HOT!

xx Steph
Trust you...

Does anyone else have over 300 cds in boxes that they will probably never get out and play again?

I downloaded those 2 albums today in less than 5 minutes, and together, they cost less than a cd would.

I think I'll give them all to the local charity shop, they can probably get $5 or so each for them. I have them all backed up on an external drive, and laptop hard drive, so it's not like I'll need them again.

Glad I wasnt the only one that noticed. I'll flip a coin with you for her LOL...

Incredible voice too. Perfect for this song...
Somebody I Used To Know. No 1 on the Triple J Hottest 100 and now its being played to death on mainstream radio. Still love it though.. helped me get through my break up - Gotye eloquently described exactly how I felt.
This is from their earlier album, sounds Egyptian in places:

I think I've ruined that song by overplaying it, and now it reminds me of baa baa black sheep...

Have no fear, there are plenty of great tracks on their albums:

Recently discovered this gem in Youtube too. This live version is just as addicting as the original. Just a bit distracted by Kimbra's hands though. lol

Gotye's currently on tour here in the US. I actually got a ticket to watch them at a nearby House of Blues soon. Excited for that.

"Smoke and Mirrors" is a pretty good track too.
