Pretty in professional behaviour of the judge.

Also, I already knew that US media doesn't really respect the privacy of suspects in the way European (or at least Dutch) media does, but I'm still quite shocked to see what looks like the home address of the suspect being published in one of those articles.

It's a wonder there is not a news video clip of someone from the press attempting to interview a member of the defendant's family or the judge's. Hell, the media will practically camp outside their home, news vans all over the street with a mob of reporters and camera crews. Like an animalistic feeding frenzy!

Yes, they'll publish the suspect's address. Freedom of the press.

******

The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble, or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.

The reason the media doesn't do that here is, as far as I know, not so much law as it is code of conduct from what can be described as the trade union for journalists.
