I remember when a friend told me that song was about the devil. He would cite line by line about it. What a bunch of crap. In my opinion, it's another song about living life in the fast lane. Hey. They wrote that one, too. d'oh!

Actually, Hotel California is (was) all about drug addiction. The most blatant drug sung about in this one was I believe Cocaine. (References to mirrors, cutting, and then how one can easily enter but never leave.)
