TLDR: Unless you're using their cloud version 1.07.3191 or their 32 bit version 5.33.6162, you have nothing to worry about.

In its infancy when privacy issues were first becoming a thing it was invaluable for covering your tracks. I used to swear by spybot and zonealarm.

By definition, what was uncovered may be considered malware due to it;s ability to launch code but I think the reality of it rests in product control. Companies are desperate to defend against cracks and keygenerators and they'll do anything to increase their revenue. To me, the joke is the people who activate software without paying are basically saying they're unwilling to pay in the first place.

I beg to differ. Now since it's been acquired by Avast - maybe it'll go downhill, but for the previous 4 years it has been topshelf.
