Don't be a goober. If you have ever really seen him, you'd realize that his body proportions are even a little more extreme than most other swimmers. That combined with his extreme drive and dedication to his craft, made him the greatest swimmer ever.

And you even allude to a certain bodytype that professional tend to have. A body type that is advantagious in their craft.

I admit that I didn't have a clear image of him so I looked up some photos online, but couldn't find anything that looked much different than for instance Pieter van den Hoogenband. Perhaps I looked at the wrong pics. So I asked, but your response is not making me any wiser.

As for body type, I was referring to the specific physique swimmers develop, that differs from for instance cyclists or weight lifters, not the body they're born with.
