Just curious what would be the standard rate for lessons from a personal trainer? I've looked up one in reasonable distance but honestly I just can't afford to spend thousands on lessons. Maybe that's reasonable for private training sessions but I just feel like that's expensive, and like also why is it so hard to find personal trainers or like one on one lessons ?

I could always try to join a group class at a gym I guess but honestly I am way too self conscious for that.

Anyways any information would be nice and just like be nice in replying please, thanks.

What is becoming popular today is group classes with personal trainers. You get one on one time to go over goals and nutrition and then the class mixes it up and builds a community. In Ohio there is burn boot camp it is designed for women (many have the same hangups) It is a class but you are going at your own pace, the way the class is structured there will be 5 workout stations each class and you move between the stations and do your own thing you are not trying to follow the rest of the group, just your own workout. The trainer will come around and focus on your goals.

I wish they had an option like that near me. Closest I can find is an hour+ away.

There are lots of at-home, device-based or standalone solutions out there now that you would be more than happy with.
