I was working out at the gym yesterday and was half-watching a show about wines on one of the gym’s TVs. (No sound)
I looked away for a while and then looked back. It looked like there was a Taco Bell crunchwrap and two tacos in front of the host.
It turned out to be just what it was. The host was saying what kind of wine goes best with Taco Bell. The host continued.
Because of such and such qualities, KFC should be paired with this wine. Chick-fil-A goes best with a $75 bottle of a certain Chardonnay. A Domino’s pizza doesn’t go with beer, but with a certain red wine. And so through the fast food world.
I kid you not. The show ended with the host putting caviar in a McDonald’s fish sandwich and pairing it with a $92 bottle of champagne.
We live in interesting times.
