In Ask the Gals there's the thread A man for a day which is about the idea of being a man for a day. As a man I know how it is to be one, but I'd be interested to hear from transmen how they experienced any mental changes after starting hormone treatment. I wanted to ask that in that thread, but both A man for a day and Ask the Gals seem rather inappropriate.

So, if you're a transman and you have experience with hormone replacement treatment, then here are some questions I have for you about the effects it has on one's psyche, if any:
Do male hormones have an effect on your mental state and if so what was most noticeable or what surprised you most about it?
Does it feel anything like how you expected it would feel?
What do you like best about it and what least?

I know that questions about transitioning will sometimes be considered offensive. I hope these are not though (I have no intention to be the Katie Couric of Lush).
