Can anyone explain why my Commentator and Electorate badges differ from the same badges of other members.

Can anyone explain why my Commentator and Electorate badges differ from the same badges of other members. Some badges of other members show the number of stories commented on and the number of stories voted on, but mine does not. Not complaining, just curious.

Just maybe because you have earned so many badges already. But will follow to see if someone from Admin can explain.

Just wondering why my badges just show the badge, but other members show the number of number of stories the member commented on or voted on. I suspect it might to do with the difference badges earned in the new site and those transferred from the old site.

Mine shows the number voted on, but not the number commented on. 'Tis a mystery.

My account was created fresh on the new site and all badges where a number is relevant have a number, so I think you may be on to something here. Good thinking.

It seems that counting and keeping things up to date is kind of iffy across the board. Seeker4's post here has been up for more than an hour, but the Forum still lists mine as the last, as does the Replies counter. I have stories that show no change in readings for a month, yet know they have been read by folks recently. I've pretty much given up on all the stuff like that.

I have raised the OP with the development team.

I had multiple errors trying to post that. I have raised a ticket because it is not the first time that I have had issues posting recently.

The response, quoted, from the development team:

'As a I guess I'd say they're right, the badges with counts were migrated over from the old site and the new one isn't counting.  I'll do a bit more digging and raise it as an issue'

My badges migrated over from the old site with no count numbers. Apparently, members earning those badges under the new site show cumulated counts.

It would seem to be a mix of move and lose. I have no Comment number now and I sure haven't voted on 856 stories since the move.

Hmmm... good question. Never thought about until you brought it up!
