Last night I was messing around, trying to learn the site, and found where you can block a user. I typed in someone's name that was short to see what happened. Nothing happened and I even answered some of their comments in the forums. Later I logged out to eat and then logged back in an hour or so later and they were blocked. I went and unblocked them and again nothing happened. They have remained blocked through several logins and log outs and my settings page tells me I have no one blocked. Does anyone have an idea what I need to do? Thanks in advance.
That's what you get for messing around w/ blocking settings.
I recently tested the block feature. I found after initially blocking someone that it took up to 24 hours before their posts in the forum were blocked from me. After unblocking, it took up to 24 hours again for their posts to show publicly.
So, after initially blocking a member you will still see their posts in the forums. Just wait and the block feature will be applied.
Later, if you choose to unblock a member it will take time before their posts are available to you. Constantly blocking and unblocking a member because the results aren't instantaneous will just aggravate you.
