I've been told, and experimented, that if you close the browser window that Lush sometimes remains open without signing out, Lush doesn't always auto sign out the person. Thus, it's possible for another person to go to Lushstories.com and find themselves signed in as the person who failed to sign out.

That's been my experience but I was told by another member that they found themselves signed in as someone else and they were not on the same device, so I think it's more than cookies.

That other member needs to post exact details of what happened (including what devices, what browser, etc.) for anyone to do more than speculate. Possible theory would be both browsers were logged in with the same account so the login info synchronized between devices. But I can think of no way for this to work without some kind of communication between devices, even if that happened unbeknownst to the users via malware or an accidental setting.

I am on android, using chrome. I hadn't logged out, just closed the tab. Lush seldom logs me out when I do that.
Later I typed lus and auto complete did the rest. The site opened up and I was on another member's profile page. I was logged in as them. I clicked the pic which brought up their menu, seeing they had 0 lush coins, took a couple of screenshots to show admin and logged out.
The member whose profile I accessed is based in another country, but I've no way of knowing for sure.
No one else could have used my phone to log in to lush
