While posts to the forum, comments on stories and other things most of my friends do show fine. One friend's activity isn't shown on my Profile Page. I go to theirs and it also doesn't show in the main box, but forum posts DO show in the Recent Forum Posts column on the left.
Is there something that maybe got set accidentally that would cause this?

Anyone can control what they want friends (or non-friends) to see in their activity feeds. So maybe your friend changed their settings to hide their updates.

As far as I know, you can opt to hide certain activity from being available...like when you post in a forum, score/comment on a story, comment on a picture or a profile, etc.
Showing your forum posts on your profile is different from hiding your posts from someone's activity feed. So your friend may have simply opted to hide that...so you won't get a notification of when they post, but you can look to the left of their profile to see their most recent forum posts.
