Gray-stripe warnings?

So, what is going on with these gray stripes appearing across the chat rooms? I have never seen them before, but today I saw two, in The Lounge and Eye Candy. Are they visible to everyone, or just me? In both cases, I hadn't even posted anything yet. One was a reminder of no role-play in The Lounge, which kind of made sense, because a couple of people were starting up, The second was a very dire warning about photos looking 18+ and 2257 compliance. I scrolled back up and didn't see anything which would merit such a warning. There wasn't a mod available at the time to ask. How do I prove that a pic I scrounged off the Internet 10 years ago, that had probably been circulating for years before that, is 2257 compliant?

I have never seen the gray stripes that you mention. However, I do not use the rooms regularly. Nobody else has reported the same. If that happens again please screenshot the page and raise a support ticket to include the screenshot:

The 2257 compliance statement should appear on every website that has adult content. It will either declare that it is not the hosting site for images, i.e. no guarantee that models are over 18, or it will say 'All models were over 18 at the time the photo(s) were taken. It is the latter that provides the assurance we need according to the site rules.

They are Mod/Admin announcement messages that contrast in colour to get attention. Mod/Admin announcements have always been a thing, however, they used to be red.

It's likely that someone in the room had posted an image that was below or bordered on the age requirements for images.

It's also likely that the mod/admin was asked to review something, so just dipped in, removed the content and added the message, and then left swiftly before you knew they were there. smile

I seem to write a story every 1.5 years on average.

Note to self... spend more time in the rooms. πŸ™„

Back some 3 & a half years ago they were grey. They were affectionately known as "The Grey Bar of Doom" to many chatroom users. 😊

Oh so three colours over time; gray, grey and red. πŸ˜‡

So is my car grey or gray? πŸ˜•πŸ˜€

A strange little something for Halloween.
