I believe Lush only allows you to attach image files. I'm certain this is intentional for safety reasons - many other file formats have inherent security issues and could allow people to spread malware through message attachments.
Can't you produce your screenshots in JPEG or PNG format? Alternatively, you could upload your PDFs to a cloud storage provider like Dropbox, and then share them using a 'public link'.
