How to get Forum codes to work

Trying to get wording toinks in my signature, but I can't get the forum codes to work.

Example look at my signature.

Cow Bell Girl

Copy the story address, highlight the title text, and paste. The title should be converted to a hyperlink to the story. Are you trying something different?

Look at my signature. I already know how how to add it to the body

I want my sig to say Cow Bell Girl that us a link to the story

I just added it to my sig using the paste over text -- did you want something different?

Paste over text makes no sense. You doing this on a PC or a Mobile device.

PC -- I don't know how you would do it on a mobile, if you even can.

(I'll take the link out now)

It's the same. You select the text by keeping the brushing or pressing on them, and then the pop-up menu will show the Copy / Paste / Select All.

Well, at least that's how it works for me on my Android phone.

Except that actually overwrites the text that is there. I have yet to see how that turns the highlighted text into a link
