How to Mute notification chimes for chats?

Is there a way to mute notification chimes when chatting? Don't want my wife hearing them, LOL. Have silenced phone and computer, but they still somehow ding, ding, ding every time someone chats with me. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

In a chat room top right hand corner click for options... see settings and mention sounds
