I thought I had my settings to private but I’ve friended one person who messaged every time I’m online. Do I have to unfirend? And how do I do that?

That's interesting. A few questions.

1. How and where did you set it to private?

2. Ask yourself. Are you even really friends? Is that person truly a friend to you or was it only to add to a list? NOMB but I'm curious.

Friends are able to see you when you are online as you do them. Even if you unfriend that member, he or she can still see you online unless you block that person. Even members on stealth mode. What you can do, as a friend, is to ask him or her to refrain from sending you messages very often. If it persists and you aren't truly friends or don't want to be friends anymore, thank him or her for the friendship and hit that block button. True friends respect each others personal space. Enjoy your peace.

Yes, I wasn’t aware of what was involved when I accepted the friend request. We are definitely not friends

In that case, I hope this helps you great discernment in the future.

Where and how did you set it to private, if I may ask? I don't see it anywhere possible.
