Jumping pages

I'm having problems with Lush when browsing on my macbook via Firefox. It's just started these last couple of days and what happens is this:

I go to click on a friend's profile and the page begins to load but then it will suddenly open on a different page.

This is what I got when I clicked onto MissyLuvsYa's page



And when I click on Nikki703's page



I only get this problem when I'm on Lush and it only seems to happen on a few profiles, not everyone's and not any other pages (so far) like stories or forums or timeline...

Can anyone help?

EDIT: I should point out that these rogue appearing pages are not ones that I've ever seen before, so it's not like they can have come from my browser history or anything like that...

This has happened before on profiles - I think that time it was down to rogue hot linked gifs from some dodgy website.

Switch to chrome and see if that helps

I may do that, or just switch back to safari (I don't have chrome installed)

Figured I should post it here in case it's a Lush issue or other people are having the same problem... I should probably clear my cache and all that good stuff too...

This problem seems to be getting worse, with more and more profiles not loading, just jumping to pages as shown above...

If you're on a mac, the first thing I would check is the Firefox addons. Toolbar and adware extensions sometimes sneakily install themselves in there.

Failing that, test with another browser as per OMKN's suggestion.

Just a quick update - I cleared my cache and cookies and reset Firefox - I still get the same problem, again, only with certain users, which does make me wonder if what OMKN said about rogue images/gifs might be on track?

I ran a spyware/malware prog as Nic suggested and that came up with nothing other than some tracking cookies, which are apparently okay...

I installed Chrome (which is what I'm viewing Lush on now). I haven't really been on Lush very much these last few days, but I went to post on a couple of friends' profiles and the same ting is happening again here...

I'm really flummoxed about this....

okay this is what's coming up, I can't get onto dirty_d's page now - this is a new error (or at least a new manifestation of it), but I wonder if it's helpful to post, with a view to getting to the source of the problem?

I hate this - I can't access my friend's profile pages - I have to scroll back half a dozen times before it will let me access their pages (if it lets me at all)
